We strongly encourage our students, as
well as all who follow us to help support
             our endorsement of Cyprus’ green
strategy in taking more notice of our
             digital promotional material. This will

allow us to depend less on putting out
posters or flyers, to promote or raise
awareness of our events or requests.

Further to this matter, in order to protect
             the country’s trees, plantations and
             wider natural landscapes, restoring vital
             habitats, Cyprus is strengthening its
             commitment to environmental
             stewardship. This objective will be
             advanced through a country-specific
             blend of reforms and investments
outlined in the National Recovery and
             Resilience Plan (NRRP), which dedicates
over €1 billion for the period 2021–2026.
The Plan supports the transition to a
             more sustainable and resilient economy
while addressing the social impacts of

             the environment.

In line with the United Nations’ and
             European Commission’s Sustainable
             Development Goals—especially SDG 13
(Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on
             Land)—local organisations are taking an
             active role in safeguarding Cyprus’s
             natural heritage. The Cyprus
             Environment Foundation works to
protect and enhance the island’s natural
             beauty, biodiversity and fragile
             ecosystems, and is currently welcoming
             volunteers. Students and local residents

alike can get involved in hands-on
             conservation projects, directly
             contributing to the preservation of
             Cyprus’s environment and helping
             advance both national and global
             sustainability goals.
