What is your favourite Armenian word or saying, and what does it mean?
Գայլի գլխին ավետարան են կարդում, ասում է՝
ոչխարը սարն անցավ
“It literally means: They are reading the Gospel to the wolf, and he says, ‘The sheep has
crossed the mountain.”
“This describes people who refuse to listen to advice because they only hear what they
want to hear. It reminds me to stay open-minded and learn from others”
Armenia is known for its beautiful scenery. Can you describe one place that captures
the heart of your country?
“If I had to choose one place that truly represents Armenia, it would be Lake Sevan. Its
bright blue water, fresh mountain air, and peaceful shores create a feeling of calm and
freedom. It reminds me of summer trips, family picnics, and the simple joy of being close
to nature” (image as shown).
Finally, what do you want other students to know about Armenia?
“I want them to know that Armenia is not only ancient but also full of life, creativity,
and warmth. Armenians are proud of their culture, yet they are open and
welcoming. Armenia has beautiful landscapes, strong traditions, and a culture built
on resilience and kindness.”
