Dr. Milani Miranda Austria serves as the Director of the Casa College Research Centre, bringing extensive academic leadership and international experience in higher education, accreditation, and research development.

Dr. Austria holds a BSc in Computer Data Processing Management, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Arts in Education (Educational Leadership), and a PhD in Technology Education. Her multidisciplinary academic background reflects a strong commitment to innovation, leadership, and academic excellence.

Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Austria has held senior academic positions, including serving for many years as Dean of the School of Technology and of Computer Studies and Engineering in the Philippines. She has also taught across a broad range of disciplines, including Hospital Management, Business Administration, Education, and Information Technology, demonstrating both academic versatility and pedagogical expertise.

A respected figure in the global academic community, Dr. Austria has contributed significantly to quality assurance and accreditation processes. She is an Accreditor for the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities – Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) and previously served as Chair of the Training Committee of the Computing Accreditation Commission under the Philippine Computer Society – Philippine Information and Computing Accreditation Board.

Her scholarly engagement extends to serving as a peer reviewer for numerous international journals and conferences, as well as an editorial board member for academic publications worldwide. Dr. Austria has authored multiple research papers and book contributions and has been recognised for her impact in education, receiving the Java Education Development Initiative (JEDI) Champion distinction alongside a prestigious Teaching Award.

The Director of the Casa College Research Centre plays a pivotal role in advancing the College’s research strategy and ensuring the highest standards of academic quality. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the implementation of institutional research policies that promote quality, integrity, and academic excellence.
  • Establishing and appointing committees to evaluate research proposals in accordance with approved academic criteria.
  • Organising meetings, professional training, and mentoring programmes to support faculty research development.
  • Reviewing and endorsing scholarly papers for international conference presentations and academic publications.
